Auction Rules and Information – Everything About the Auction

Auction House Statement

Webaukció Kft. is committed to transparent, fair, and professionally grounded auction practices. Our goal is to combine traditional auction house standards with the security and convenience of a modern online environment.

The entire auction process – from online bidding to the live closing phase – is conducted according to uniform rules in a verifiable and transparent manner. Every bid is recorded, and their order is determined by a system-certified timestamp. Our aim is to provide all participants with a predictable, secure, and professionally reliable environment.

This auction is organized and conducted by Webaukció Kft. on the website www.webaukcio.eu. Participation in the auction constitutes full acceptance of these rules.

Structure of the Auction

The auction is a unified process that begins with online bidding and concludes with a live closing phase. These two stages do not constitute separate auctions but are consecutive parts of the same auction. The live phase starts from the highest bid reached during the online phase; the price does not restart.

The online phase typically lasts 10–14 days. During this period, items are presented in detail with multiple photographs, comprehensive descriptions, and all relevant information to enable bidders to make informed and careful decisions.

All bids placed during the online phase are considered fully valid and binding.

If no further bids are received during the live closing phase, the highest bid recorded during the online phase becomes final and constitutes the hammer price of the item.

Illustrative Example

At the end of the online phase, the highest bid is: HUF 185,000.
The live closing phase begins.
If no new bid is received, the item is sold at HUF 185,000.

Maximum Bid

Bidders may set a maximum bid. This is the amount up to which the system automatically represents the bidder.

The system:

  • increases only in case of a counterbid,

  • always follows the official bidding increments,

  • never exceeds the specified maximum amount,

  • treats the maximum bid confidentially.

In the case of identical bids, the earlier recorded bid takes precedence.

Example

Current price: HUF 100,000
Bid increment: HUF 5,000
Maximum bid: HUF 130,000

A counterbid of HUF 105,000 is received → the system raises to HUF 110,000.
The bidding increases step by step but does not exceed HUF 130,000.

Example During Live Phase

At the end of the online phase:
Highest bid: HUF 240,000
Previously set maximum bid: HUF 300,000

During the live phase, a bid of HUF 250,000 is received.
The system automatically raises to HUF 260,000.
The bidding continues according to increments but does not exceed HUF 300,000.

Live Closing Phase

The live closing phase begins at a pre-announced time, and items are auctioned in the published order.

Each item starts with a 20-second dynamic bidding timer. If a new bid is received, the countdown resets to 20 seconds. The item is sold if no new bid is received within 20 seconds.

This system ensures a transparent and fair auction environment with equal conditions for all participants.

In the case of a large number of lots, a pre-announced break may be held.

Bid Increments

Bids may only be placed according to the following increments:

0 – 1,000 HUF → +100 HUF
1,001 – 5,000 HUF → +200 HUF
5,001 – 10,000 HUF → +500 HUF
10,001 – 20,000 HUF → +1,000 HUF
20,001 – 50,000 HUF → +2,000 HUF
50,001 – 100,000 HUF → +5,000 HUF
100,001 – 200,000 HUF → +10,000 HUF
200,001 – 500,000 HUF → +20,000 HUF
500,001 – 1,000,000 HUF → +50,000 HUF
1,000,001 – 5,000,000 HUF → +200,000 HUF
Above 5,000,001 HUF → +500,000 HUF

If a different amount is entered, the system will consider the nearest lower valid increment.

Payment

The total amount payable consists of the hammer price plus a 20% buyer’s premium.

Example:
Hammer price: HUF 100,000
Premium: HUF 20,000
Total payable: HUF 120,000

The successful bidder must pay the full purchase price within 10 days after the auction closes.

Unsold Lots

Lots that remain unsold during the live auction may be offered after the auction under a separately announced “post-auction sale” for a specified period.

Only registered users may participate in the auction. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided during registration.
